Before and After Project

Updated: Apr 13, 2023

The spring market has officially started which means things will be getting busy on the staging side of Effortless Designs!

This month I wanted to share the transformation from one of the houses we staged in March. When our realtor brought us in to work with the client, I fell in love with this house. The dramatic ceilings and gorgeous archways drew me into the possibilities that this seller could have when listing this home. However, there were a few things that needed to be done first.

My client was very open to painting and agreed that the tannish yellow color had to go. We recommended either Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace or Sherwin Williams Natural White. The client chose Chantilly Lace and that color choice transformed the whole house.

After doing a walk through with the seller, she agreed with the assessment that, although the hardwood floors in the main areas were beautiful, the carpet would need to be replaced. Once consulting with the flooring specialist between two main options, we chose a carpet with a light gray base. Once this was installed, the master bedroom became a new slate ready to be staged.

Our overall staging design consisted of neutral yet traditional pieces to reflect the home’s character and modern pieces to elevate the property. From the parson dining chairs in the dining room to the striped armchairs on the left side of the living room, we tailored a sophisticated yet simple staging design to attract a broad range of buyers.

This project was close to my heart. It was such a joy to work hand in hand with a seller who put as much effort into preparing the home as I did staging the interior. It was a beautiful example of trusting the entire staging and design process from beginning to end. I’m looking forward to many similar transformations this year.

If any of you are in need of home staging or design guidance, we are booking consultations for both services. Reach out to set up your consultation today to discover how your home can be transformed too.
